Der 560 PS starke R8 GT  geht an Kunden aus 23 Laendern, vorwiegend aus Europa, USA und den Maerkten des Nahen und Mittleren Ostens. Die auf 333 Stueck limitierte aufgelegte Topversion der R8-Familie wird in einer Manufaktur im Werk Neckarsulm gefertigt und ist bereits ausverkauft.

On a beautiful sunny day at 25 degrees the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport achieved a new landspeed world record for production cars, on the proving grounds of the Volkswagen Group at Ehra-Lessien (nearby its headquarters at Wolfsburg). In the presence of the German Technical Inspection Agency (TÜV) and a representative of Guinness Book of Records the Super Sport achieved an average top speed of 431 km/h.

Audi is adding another model to its R8 high-performance sports car lineup: Hot on the heels of the R8 Spyder 5.2 FSI quattro comes another model with a V8 engine. The 4.2-liter FSI produces 316 kW (430 hp) and launches the open-top two-seater to 100 km/h (62.14 mph) in 4.8 seconds on its way to a top speed of 299 km/h (185.79 mph).
